Crappie fishing- Crappie fishing continues to be good weather permitting. Numbers of crappie are coming off of baited brush piles with some being caught in shallow water off docks, piers, and bridges. This past week crappie fishing has picked up.

Bass fishing- Bass appear to be moving to deeper water with the cold fronts and return to shallow water after fronts pass. Some bass have already spawned with some fish still in shallow water. Some vegetation is starting to appear in certain places in the backs of the coves. Quite a few fish have already spawned and are starting to move to deeper water. Best producing lures have been light c-rigs with baby brush hogs and ultra-vibe speed craws and square bill crank baits that run 2-7 ft deep.

The Pro-Elite Bassmasters will be fishing Toledo Bend the week of April 3rd.
