"The bones of our ancestors lay beneath us, slowly being stripped away, sacred site by sacred site, in the name of 'development' without regarded respect.

I personally have been struggling with our ancestor's bones for reburial and am devoting an enormous amount of time trying to establish a way to honor this second largest burial ground in the state of Texas.

We want to raise money to honor this site with a magnificently detailed 30 foot bronze monument created by artist Dave McGary. The monument will be of a Holy Man with an eagle fan in the right hand and an eagle head mount staff in the left, facing the east where the sun rises over the park in Pat Suter park on Ennis Joslin Road, along Oso Creek in Corpus Christi, Texas.
